🔒 Is it safe?
Yes. You are always in control.
Every single time we want to connect, this box pops up on your screen:
- ✔ Click Allow: we can help you.
- ✖ Click Deny, or don’t answer: we cannot get in.
No exceptions.

Can you look at my computer any time?
No. We can only connect after you ask us for help and click Allow. No Allow, no connection.
Is the app always connected?
No. The app is like a doorbell. It lets us ring. Only you can open the door by clicking Allow.
How do I know you’re connected?
A bar stays on your screen the whole time, and you see the mouse moving. When the bar is gone, we are gone.
Can I stop you?
Yes, any time. Click End (or ✕) on the bar. The connection stops right away.
Will you look at my photos or bank?
No. We only look at what we need to fix your problem. Close anything private before you click Allow.
Can you copy or take my files?
No. We never copy or keep your files, unless you ask us to (for example, to back them up).
Do you record my screen?
No. We only write down the date, time, who helped you, and what we fixed.
Do you need my passwords?
No. If a password is needed, you type it yourself. We never ask for passwords, ID or card numbers.
Someone called saying they’re VM Tech?
We never call you first to get into your computer. Hang up and call us at (778) 288-3053.
I clicked Allow by mistake. What now?
Click End on the bar, or call us and we’ll explain what happened.
Where does the connection go?
To our own secure server in Canada. Everything is encrypted. No other company can see it.
How do I remove the app?
Windows: Settings → Apps → VM Tech Remote → Uninstall. Mac: drag it to the Trash. Or call us and we’ll do it.
